How much is the league fee? What does it include?
The fee for each team is $2,500. This includes:
> 20+ regular season games
> All-Star game with Homerun Derby
> Playoff tournament
> Trip/Purse for the League Champion
> Field fees
> League administration
> Baseballs

How many teams are in the league?
There are 30 teams currently participating in the 2007 season.

What is each team responsible for?
Each team is responsible for the following:
> Equipment
> Uniforms
> Umpire fees for each game, which are $60/team
> The bases for each team's home games

When does the season begin and end?
We begin playing in mid-April and play in to September.

Where do we play our games?
All our games are played on fields in Manhattan and the Bronx. To see a full list of our fields, click here.

What days of the week are games played?
Games can be scheduled any day of the week, but the bulk of the games are played on the weekend.

What are the rules?
A full listing of the rules can be found here, but here are some of the basics:
> Wood bat only
> 9-inning games
> Teams have option to use a DH

Are there any age requirements?
No, there are no minimum or maximum age requirements. However, players under the age of 18 must provide a signed parental consent form.

Does the league help teams recruit players?
Not directly. However, we provide a Waiver Wire on the Web site that has an up-to-date listing of all the players who have expressed interest in playing in the league. Managers are encouraged to contact these players in an effort to build competitive teams. Please note that you will have to contact the Commissioner for the username and password to access the Waiver Wire.

Does the league pay for umpires?
No, each team is responsible for one of the two umpires that will officiate each game. Each umpire costs $60. In the event of a forfeit, the team that forfeits will be responsible for both umpires' fees.

Is there a knockout rule?
Yes, the mercy rule will be enforced after either team achieves a 10-run lead after the 5th inning is complete.

Is there a grace period for teams who do not have 9 players by game time?
Yes. Teams are granted a 30-minute grace period. If a team cannot field 9 players after the grace period expires, the game is forfeited.
